I got hit by a car today and THE DRIVER DIDN'T EVEN STOP TO SEE IF I WAS OK!
emotion=fear!startledness!(not an emotion but who cares)total shock!
my car's fine and I'm fine, so ultimately, eh.
I went over my cell phone minutes. WHAT DOES THIS MEAN?
emotion=terrified
My ex old man told me that he is dating someone new.
emotion=slightly sad, slightly relieved, slightly annoyed that he got there before I did
annoying thing written on a feedback sheet by a student

Yes, I feel guilty.

Yesterday I took 5 baths.

I was very feverish. It was the only thing, other than sleep, that felt good.

Sorry, lakes of California.

A nice cuppa tea with a fawn.

My day was full of Narnian yumminess. I saw "The Lion, the Witch and the Wardrobe." (And why are they calling it the Narnia movie? Just call it TLTWATW! Jeez.)
Here's my report:
Lucy Pevensie is deliiiightful. Cute and bucktoothed. Not a great cryer, but we can't have it all, can we?
Edmund should have been a bit snottier.
There was one shot of Susan shooting a bad dwarf with her bow and arrow set and she was pretty bad ass about it. yay Susan! Too bad she forfeits Narnia for high heels.
The white witch was pretty awesome. Great dreadlocks, oddly shiny eyelids, icicle crown. Her costumes were weirdly wonderful. Uncomfortable looking, but dramatic.
The relationship between Tumnus the fawn and Lucy was the heart of the movie, just as it should have been. There was a cute bit where he stamped his feet coming in from the snow. Tumnus was adorable, and I suspect he is gay. No shirt, nice arms and a little jaunty red scarf? Please.

The bad news:
Liam Neeson is hot and fabulous but he ain't no Aslan. Too tremulous and young a voice. Aslan needed an old, deep, sonorous voice like James Earl Jones. But Britished up, right, cause we all know Aslan is hell of English.

Other notes:
Turkish delight looks hideous. I can't believe Edmund would sell his brother and sisters out for something that isn't even chocolate.

The beavers were cute. I kind of wanted the whole having tea in the cave scene. there really should have been more tea drinking and eating of yummy, dwarf-cooked breakfasts. Or is that in another book?

Weird added scene with ice floes and the wolves. Why?

The battles were scary and overwhelming but cool. I cringed a lot. peter and the White Witch fighting? AWESOME. Tilda Swinton is the new Cate Blanchette. So white and cold and fierce. Love it.

Where have you gone, Molly Ringwald?

I watched "Mean Girls" tonight and it was pretty good. Kind of "Heathers" lite. And Lindsay Lohan is really cute and charming, just like when she was s kid in the "Parent Trap." I guess that's the only other thing i've seen herr in, except dumb magazines.
But, dear internet, her boobs are too big. They just look wrong with her body. And the whole short, flouncy skirt thing, I don't know.
and in a strange way I think that movie is slightly anti-girl. Where are the movies about the girls who have real friendships?
