Can't believe it's almost march!
When I left work today there were 3 kids with their chests open (heart surgery leaves the chest open a while) and one with three tubes in his lungs. All in all a normal day.
So I got hold of the Eddie Izzard standup comedy video and watched it tonight. Freakin' hilarious.
Other than that, life in Vegas is muy boring right now.
So my life has a pathway now. I signed on to join a practice here in Vegas. Guess I'll be here a while. So met a beautiful woman while up north, who kept flirting with me. In my usual brilliant way I screwed it up, and never talked with her. I rule! I gotta say, there are great things about being single, but I forgot how much I SUCK at small talk and dating.
I guess having watched the movie "50 first dates" tonight kinda set me off.
It was good, by the way.
I gotta work tomorrow (happy prez day). Yipee!
Yeah, passed my boards (USMLE step III). This is part 3 of the medical licensing exam. There still is the pediatric boards in Oct which is $1400.00. Yeah! Thats the one that is not required, but if you pass it, you can call yourself a board certified pediatrician.
Speaking of boards, spent the last week on vacation including snow boarding in Lake Tahoe. Thanks to my ever cool friends, I got free lift ticket and rental. Oh yes!
It may be because I just got off a 30 hr shift in the ICU, but the word board looks really funny to me. It doesn't look like it should even be a word. hmmm...
